Shagara Records is an independent record label founded in Cairo by passionate like-minded producers, creating an array of deep, dark, and emotional electronic music. Shagara is the Arabic word for tree, which is not only symbolism for the balance, strength, and harmony within our music, but also a purpose. For every song sold, Shagara Records commits to planting a tree with the help from our friends at the OneTreePlanted foundation.
One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is an environmentally conscious non-profit with a focus on reforestation. They provide individuals, businesses and organizations the ability to easily support tree planting initiatives worldwide.
Shagrha
Cairo-based NGO Shagrha has challenged Egyptian volunteers to plant hundreds upon thousands of fruit trees by 2030. More than 35,000 fruit trees and 1500 balconies have been planted all over Egypt by community volunteers.
